Is Scout a marketplace?
Not yet. The MVP is a curated matching service. Scout gathers the brief, reviews fit, and introduces relevant businesses and creators. Accounts, payments, messaging, and project management are not currently built into this site.
What does “vetted” mean?
Creators are reviewed using the information they submit, including portfolio quality, category experience, location, format, rates, and availability. Scout does not guarantee project outcomes; businesses should complete their own final due diligence.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. Businesses can submit a brief and creators can apply to the founding network without a fee. Any future service fee or project terms will be disclosed before a commitment is made.
How quickly will I hear back?
Response times depend on volume and match availability. If there’s a potential fit, Scout will follow up using the email in your application.
Do creators work for Scout?
No. Creators remain independent and are not Scout employees. Project scope, rights, usage, payment, and delivery terms should be agreed in writing between the parties before work starts.
Is Scout only for DFW?
DFW is the launch market so Scout can build a genuinely local network. Other cities may follow after the local model is proven.
